Our Client, a well-known global brand in the broadcast media industry is looking for a Head of Business Systems to join them on a permanent basis.

The Business Systems are the cornerstone of everything they do and they are looking for a new team member who can help them drive forward with their ambitious plans and take ownership of technically managing our Digital Workplace, and the architecture of our Asset Management (MAM), Broadcaster Portal and our File Delivery Systems.


  • Demonstrated success working with business solutions and workflows in a complex enterprise creative environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Office 365 products essential
  • Working knowledge of VDC environments (VMWare an advantage)
  • Comfortable with a blended Windows / Mac infrastructure
  • Proven success as a key member of a matrixed, cross-functional company; able to work equally well with people in business, creative, and technical positions
  • Capable manager of people in small teams
  • Able to apply sound judgment while working independently within tight timelines
  • Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Fanatical about creating robust systems; understands the “correct” level of process to apply to different projects and to work on multiple projects at one time
  • Willingness to be flexible and respond to quickly changing priorities on short notice
  • Solid technical background, experience managing technical projects, and/or hands-on technical experience
  • Understands software development methodologies and timeline
  • Demonstrated commitment going above and beyond to help system users in solving problems or locating information
  • Good understanding of Media Asset Management and Portal Applications


  • Develop and execute on a Business Systems strategy within a global, growing organization
  • Define policy for desktop management (Mac and Windows) and desktop security software
  • Execute design and roll out of tailored Microsoft SharePoint environment and Office 365 applications across the business
  • Manage relationships with outside suppliers and contractors
  • Management of back-end technology and hosted services to support IT and business functions in line with all operations, maintaining system health and performance levels
  • Responsible for telephony and other real-time communication technology & infrastructure
  • Ensuring security and governance mandates as required from time to time are adhered to
  • Accountable for IT disaster recovery processes, plans and technologies
  • Responsible for acquisition, deployment and disposition of appropriate hardware & technologies in line with IT strategy and mandate
  • Vendor and RFP management as appropriate for the job function
  • Accountable for IT budget, strategy and reporting on spend to date
  • Appropriate reporting and feedback to executive and stakeholder committees
  • Ability to build and mentor a team including Line management of Head of Content Management
  • Comfortable managing conflicting priorities and schedules decisively
  • Ability to complete larger IT projects in appropriate phases, delivering incremental value
  • Up to date understanding of key industry-wide and security trends
  • Experience in diagnostics and trouble-shooting
  • Develop, schedule, and conduct user training and familiarity for both internal and external users if required
  • Evangelize and promote the benefits of adoption of new ways of working
  • Identify and improve ways to organize and manage the entire digital document life cycle including data sources and file delivery methods
